Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set for its digital premiere soon. The action-packed thriller, which released in theatres on August 14, 2025, is gearing up for its OTT release on Prime Video.
Coolie OTT Release: Platform & Expected Date
After dominating the box office with nearly ₹200 crore collection in India, Coolie will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. While the exact release date is yet to be officially confirmed, reports suggest the film will likely arrive by late September 2025. An announcement is expected next month.
Existing OTTplay Premium subscribers can access the film by adding Prime Video to their plan.
About Coolie
Coolie marks the first collaboration between Rajinikanth and hit director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The story follows Deva (Rajinikanth), a mansion owner who begins investigating his old friend’s mysterious death. Teaming up with his friend’s daughter Preethi, Deva unravels a conspiracy that leads him into a dangerous clash with smuggling kingpin Simon.
Despite its massive star cast and strong box office run, the film has faced mixed reviews, with criticism over its writing and screenplay.
